Attempted Condom Heist at Cumberland Farms

Suspect reportedly handed over the condoms and may have made off with gum instead, according to the report.

A Cumberland Farms (1101 Post Road) employee reported a possible larceny to police just before 1 a.m. Wednesday.

According to the report, a white male in his teens or early 20s took several packages of condoms and attempted to leave the store without paying for them. The employee told him she would call the police and the suspect allegedly cursed her and returned the condoms.

Then, the male reportedly packages of gum and made off with them on a green motorized scooter, according to the employee. The suspect was gone when police arrived. At the time of the report, an inventory had not been conducted to determine if any gum was indeed missing from the store.
