Diner Patrons Say Food Too Greasy, Refuse to Pay

Two women reportedly ordered food from Fairfied's Athena Diner and, finding it greasy, refused to pay.

A manager at reported to police Thursday that two women in their 60s ordered food and then refused to pay, police said.

One woman took a bite from her plate while the other left her meal untouched. They told reportedly told the manager the food was too greasy and they would not be paying for it.

The manager told police that each woman left in a BMW. Police traced the plates to a Fairfield resident and a Westport resident. They spoke with the Westport woman, who said the food was “inedible.”
