The Fairfield Public Library is not only home to many books, DVDs, CDs, and other items available to loan out; it’s also home to many a popular discussion, workshop, and presentation. The library is a busy place, set right in the middle of Fairfield’s downtown, and boasts a computer lab, an art gallery space, and an excellent and helpful staff.

• Cheese School – Winter 2012: 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., Fairfield Cheese Company. $45 for the winter session. Tonight’s subject: fondue.
• Supporting Good Study Skills 101: 7 p.m. – 8:30 p.m., Pequot Library, free. Parents are invited to this workshop to learn how to foster good study skills for their middle or high school students.
