Jewelry, Silver Stolen in Stonewall Lane Burglary

Fairfield police are investigating a burglary reported Monday by a Stonewall Lane resident.

According to the report, a door on the north side of the home had been pried open over the weekend while the homeowners were away from the residence.

The home appeared to have been ransacked and silver and jewelry were missing, police said. An estimated value for the stolen items was not included in the report.

A neighbor told police that he had seen a box truck similar to a Stop & Shop Peapod truck in the neighborhood on Sunday night.

This is under investigation.
