Man Charged with Bike Thefts at Train Station

The suspect caught on surveillance video was identified by several 'concerned citizens,' police said.

Fairfield police have charged a Bridgeport man with the .

Bobby Blakely, 41, was charged with sixth-degree larceny on Wednesday. He was arrested in court and held in lieu of a $5,000 bond, according to the police report.

Two bicycles were stolen from the train station in late June and early July. Police released surveillance footage of the suspect, a black male wearing a black shirt and tan shorts.

Several concerned citizens stepped forward and identified the suspect in the video to both Fairfield and Bridgeport officers, according to the report.

Police applied for a warrant for Blakely's arrested and served it on Wednesday.
