Man Charged with Stealing from Homes on Paper Route

A Bridgeport man faces multiple burglary and larceny charges for thefts that occurred on his Connecticut Post paper route, police said.

Giovanni Feliciano, 27, was arrested on a warrant at Bridgeport Police Department on Saturday.

After a lengthy investigation, Fairfield police determined Feliciano as a suspect in several reported thefts that occurred in April.

On April 8, a Matilda Place resident reported $500 worth of golf clubs were stolen from the driveway and an iPod ($200) taken from the complainant's unlocked car. Police visited several pawn shops, recovered the clubs and developed Feliciano as a suspect. Feliciano was charged Saturday with fifth-degree larceny and held in lieu of a $5,000 bond.

Feliciano was also charged with third-degree burglary and third-degree larceny for a theft reported on April 11 at Round Hill Road. Two sets of golf clubs (totaling $2,500) were stolen from the complainant's garage. Feliciano was held in lieu of a $50,000 bond for these charges.

He was further charged with third-degree burglary and larceny for the theft of $3,685 worth of electronic and musical equipment from the garage of a Cranston Street resident. Based on pawn records for the items, police executed a search warrant at a home on 6th Street in Bridgeport, the home of Feliciano's girlfriend, and found the Cranston Street complainant's Dell computer. Feliciano was held in lieu of a $5,000 bond for these charges.

Last, Felicano was charged in connection to the theft of a GPS from a vehicle on Francis Street. He was charged with sixth-degree larceny and third-degree burglary and held in lieu of a $5,000 bond. These charges were issued after Feliciano gave consent for police to search his car, where they found the GPS and determined it was stolen.

He is scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 27 for all of these charges.
