Police Dominate Top 10 in 2010

Six of 10 Highest Paid Town Employees in 2010 are Police Officers, But Gross Salaries Include Outside Jobs, For Which the Town is Reimbursed, and Overtime

It's been a while, but Fairfield's highest-paid town employee in a calendar year didn't crack $200,000.

But that's only because former Supt. of Schools Ann Clark retired June 30 - halfway through the 2010 calendar year - and Supt. of Schools David G. Title took her place on July 1.

Nevertheless, Title was paid $137,470 for working as Fairfield's superintendent of schools from July 1 through Dec. 31, and Clark was paid $115,041 for working in that job from Jan. 1, 2010 to June 30.
