Adopted Today!Sammy the Gentle Giant Will Warm Your Heart!

Sammy was found wandering the streets with his kitten friend Charlie. They seemed to be best buddies. Sammy, the gentle soul that he is, took Charlie under his wing (uh, paw) and made sure he kept safe. THAT is the kind of cat Sammy is. Not a visitor can resist a loving head bump from Sammy. He longs for attention and love and doesn't hesitate to return the favor. He is a gentle boy that never argues with any of the other cats. In fact, he and our former Thumper had also become good friends! He's the guy everyone wants to hang out with! And he has the silkiest smooth black coat that you can imagine!

His buddy Charlie found a home long ago.  But Sammy seems to be overlooked. Is it because he's a black cat? There is not a more gentle soul around than this big guy.

Sammy tested positive for FIV.  Please inquire if you want to know more about FIV. FIV+ cats can live normal, healthy, long lives, and it's only contagious to other cats if there's a very deep bite.

He is a strong boy and has been able to handle shelter life.  But we fear that if he stays much longer it will start to take its toll on his health.  We are hoping that the right person is out there, not afraid to love and give a home to an FIV+.  We're hoping that person just hasn't come through our doors yet. And that once they do, they will fall in love, like all of us have, with this gentle giant.
