Pam Newton-Coombs, a colleague in the Communications and Marketing Department at Citizens Bank, has been recognized by the company’s Community Stars program for the volunteer work she does in her community. She has volunteered with several Bridgeport nonprofits including the Connecticut Food Bank, Operation Hope, the Bridgeport School, and Citizens’ own Gear for Grades program. Her efforts include assembling bags of food for the Kid’s Backpack Program, organizing collection efforts for the Hope for the Holidays Program, participating in Read Aloud Day, and packing backpacks full of school supplies for children in need. Pam has inspired her fellow colleagues with her enthusiasm and commitment to the community.
The Community Stars program recognizes volunteer work that Citizens Bank colleagues are doing in their local communities. Colleagues are nominated by coworkers each quarter in order to be recognized for the positive impacts on their communities. Selected colleagues are awarded a monetary donation to be directed to the nonprofit organization of their choice.
