Reproductive Medicine Associates of Connecticut (RMACT) is proud to announce its latest addition: Dr. Shaun Williams. As a physician board-certified in both Reproductive Endocrinology and Obstetrics and Gynecology, Dr. Williams helps patients who are struggling to get pregnant.
Dr. Williams, a Fairfeild resident, has been working with Connecticut infertility patients since moving to the area in 2005. Since then, he has helped hundreds of patients fulfill their dream of becoming parents. For his successes, patients named him a “Most Compassionate Doctor” in 2009 – 2012 and his peers named him a Fairfield County 2012 “Top Doc.” He is also a “Best Doctor in America” for 2013.
“My partners and I are thrilled to be working with Dr. Williams,” says Dr. Mark Leondires, Medical Director at RMACT. “In addition to being an extremely talented and successful infertility specialist, Dr. Williams is great fit for our practice; he is compassionate, knowledgeable and willing to go above and beyond for his patients.”
Dr. Williams, who will see patients at RMACT’s locations in Stamford, Danbury and Norwalk, says: “This is an outstanding opportunity for me to be a part of the very talented team at RMACT. Working with expert physicians who share a similar passion for patient care will be professionally rewarding, and more importantly, RMACT's dedication to patient support will provide my patients a level of personalized care that is unmatched. I'm excited to be able to offer patients the extensive resources available at RMACT, such as on-site nutritional support, fertility yoga, patient support groups, and the opportunity to participate in cutting edge fertility research. I have no doubt that the impressive nurses, embryology team, and clinical staff at RMACT will help me and all the individuals I am fortunate enough to care for reach our goals much more effectively.”
Before moving to Connecticut, Dr. Williams practiced with Pacific Gynecology Specialists in Seattle, Washington and was an associate clinical instructor in the Department of OB/GYN at University of Washington. His areas of interest include fertility preservation and reproductive surgeries, especially robotic surgery to treat conditions affecting a woman’s reproductive health.
Dr. Williams earned his undergraduate degree from University of Texas at Austin and went on to study medicine at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, where he was part of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. He completed his internship and residency at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, where he received the Berlex Labs Resident Teaching Awards. Dr. Williams did a fellowship in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at The Jones Institute for Reproductive Medicine at Eastern Virginia Medical School.
Dr. Williams has been published numerous times, and has presented five of his abstracts at American Society of Reproductive Medicine’s (ASRM) annual conference for professionals in the infertility field. He is a member of ASRM, Fairfield County Medical Association, Fellow of American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and associate member of Society for Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility.
