On Saturday, March 24, 2012, from 9:30 am to 11:00 am at the Fairfield Senior Center, which is located at 100 Mona Terrace, the Fairfield Board of Finance (BOF) will host a Comment Session for the public on the 2012-2013 budget.
Members of the public are encouraged to attend this session to voice any comments before town bodies vote on the budget. In addition to the numerous joint BOF and Board of Selectmen (BOS) budget meetings, which have been taking place over the last few weeks, the BOF wants to give the public another opportunity to participate in this important process.
BOF Chair Tom Flynn said, “These annual public comment sessions have become an integral part of our budget process. Our Board finds the interaction with the public very useful during our deliberations and, we hope, the public finds the additional dialogue and transparency into the process equally useful."
The BOF and BOS budget vote schedule includes:
- BOS-Monday, March 26, 2012-2 pm-Independence Hall-725 Old Post Road
- BOF-Thursday, March 29, 2012-7 pm-Education Center-501 Kings Highway East
