In an effort to help residents who have been impacted by Storm Sandy, the Town is holding a special household hazardous waste collection day on Saturday, December 1, 2012 at Veterans Park, Reef Road, from 8 am to 12 pm.
This Collection will provide an outlet for residents to properly dispose their household hazardous waste. Residents who use the collection should pre-register by emailing ask.hazwaste@rwater.com or by calling 203-401-2712. Residents should leave a message that they are planning to attend and, if possible, give the estimated amount of waste they will be delivering.
The Town is seeking volunteers to help with the event. Volunteers will not be handling any hazardous waste. If you have any questions or would like to volunteer, please contact Solid Waste and Recycling Director Michael Zembruski at 203 256-3023 or mzembruski@town.fairfield.ct.us .
