Hyunsook Suh Kim, age 80 of Fairfield, beloved wife to the late Wook Kim, passed away on October 21, 2012 at St. Vincent's Medical Center. Born February 16, 1932 in Korea, Hyunsook grew up on a farm where apples and pears were grown and came to America in 1960 and lived in New York City until 1980.
After, she lived in Stamford, Portland, Oregon, New Milford, Stratford, and Fairfield being most recent. Hyunsook enjoyed playing golf and was a member of the Sterling Farms Women's Golf Club of Stamford from 1983-1998. She enjoyed knitting and often made items for friends and family. Hyunsook was a member of the Fairfield Seniors and enjoyed gardening, growing many different flowers, fruits and vegetables. She also like picking fruits and vegetables from farms across Connecticut.
Hyunsook is survived by her two sons, David, of Fairfield and William, of Stamford. She was predeceased by her husband, Wook. Services were held privately in the care of the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Road, in Fairfield Center.
