The management of The Bank of Fairfield and Chips Restaurant believe that there is some local recognition that needs to be made to constituents of the community who make Fairfield and the surrounding area an outstanding place to live and work. As a result, they have established the Annual Community Spirit Awards.
There will be five categories to the awards, including Volunteer, Not for Profit, Government, Education and Youth. Nomination forms can be found at either of the Bank of Fairfield’s two branches, at 2150 Post Road or 2248 Black Rock Turnpike (next to Trader Joe’s) and at Chip’s Restaurant at 525 Tunxis Hill Cutoff in Fairfield. In addition, interested parties can contact Bob Hojnacki at The Bank of Fairfield (203) 659-7600 or rhojnacki@thebankoffairfield.com) to obtain a nomination form. Nomination forms must be returned to The Bank of Fairfield no later than March 1st.
The nominations will be judged by an independent board and the awards ceremony will take place at Chip’s Restaurant on March 12th.
Notes Bank of Fairfield Business Development Head, Bob Hojnacki, “There are so many people who make such a difference in our community; we wanted to highlight some of those people and their noteworthy accomplishments.”
Chip’s Restaurant Owner, George Chatzopoulos, agrees. “There are many outstanding contributors in our community who deserve recognition.”
