Off the Streets BFT Holds Donation Drop-off Day

Saturday, July 19 from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Our Lady of the Assumption Church’s parking lot 545 Stratfield Road, Fairfield, CT.

Why:
When a homeless person gets a room or apartment, often he/she moves in with only the clothes on their back and the few articles they can carry in their arms. Off the Streets wants their clients to have a new beginning and that starts with the “small things of life” — basic furnishings that transforms a basic, empty apartment into a home.

Living Needs Donations List:
We welcome the following compact and utilitarian items — clean & in-good-condition, please (NO JUNK):FURNITURE: Dresser, End table, Bookcase (small), TV stand, Mirror, Lamps in working order, Small rug (clean), Chairs (wood/metal only), Small kitchen table
BEDS: Twin* mattress (new only), Twin* box springs (new), Full* mattress (new only), Full* box springs (new), Metal bed frame* (twin or full)
KITCHENWARE: Pots & pans, Glasses & cups, Silverware /flatware, Plates, Serving bowls, Cooking accessories – spoons, spatula, etc.
LINENS: Twin bedding, Full bedding, Bath towels, Hand towels, facecloths, Dish towels
APPLIANCES: TV (flat screen only*), Microwave, Toaster/Toaster oven
TOILETRIES: Soap, Shampoo, Toothpaste, Toothbrush
CLEANING SUPPLIES: Laundry detergent, Dish soap, Sponges, Other cleaning products
