Fairfield Tennis Center Offers Free Tennis on July 25th

Fairfield Tennis Center announces that it will offer two hours of free tennis in conjunction with the free Open Play offering by the Carl Dickman Par 3 Golf Course.  Children ages 10-18, who have prior tennis experience and are able to serve and rally, are invited to participate in free supervised play Thursday, July 25th from 1-3 pm. 

“This is a great opportunity for juniors in Fairfield to enjoy an afternoon of free golf starting at 3 pm and an hour or two of tennis prior to heading to the course,” stated Val Collison, Manager of Fairfield Tennis Center.

Additional supervised tennis match play for juniors with tennis experience will be available for $10 each time they play on the following Thursday’s, August 1st, 8th, 15th and 22nd. 

Long time Fairfield County Tennis professional, Dave Fowler, will be on hand to supervise the tennis each Thursday from 1-3 pm.  Junior players can stop by any time during the two hours.  Matches will be set up by Fowler for those who attend.

“Tennis and golf are two great lifetime sports” stated Collison.  “The residents of Fairfield are lucky to have two exceptional sports facilities right next to each other.”

Reservations are not required.  Children should bring their own racquets. There are limited loaner racquets available.  Appropriate “tennis” sneakers are required for entry onto the tennis courts.  Full service locker rooms are available to all players.
