“I penned my story using Swedish Folklore as a fairytale genre, wrapped into, around and through genealogical reality and Swedish heritage customs. All my represented characters existed. Celebrative customs enacted traditionally, woven magically through invisible time, space, and place,” states Skog.

The divided heart conflict of motherland America and Fatherland Sweden evolves its energy connecting genealogical heritage reality, enacted within a fantasy framework. Reality, dreams, heart-warm wishes led me to form an emotional involvement with genealogical family members, vicariously transformed my identity, deep meaning, understanding of self by immersion into my Swedish heritage roots.
