NUTMEG BOWL JUNIOR BOWLING

7th Week:  Sat, Feb 15, 2014 – 9:30AM

The Junior Bowling Program at Nutmeg Bowl in Fairfield is proud to present the results of league bowling.  All youth bowlers from bumper-bowlers to twenty year olds are welcome to come and participate in our $10,000 annual scholarship league.

7th Week In the Teen’s Division (Youth 13-20):  This week the 35 junior bowlers had a chance to score on the regular “house” pattern which helps the ball into the strike pocket by the oil’s pattern and volume.  31 bowlers scored over their average and 8 had 600+ series.  16 bowlers shot games over 200!  Excellent performance and a nice 174 average for all bowlers this week.  Most pins over average goes to Cameron Farrow with 185 pins and the 2nd high game of 242!  Ties for 2nd most over average goes to Angela Riehl and Domenique Spearman with +165.  High game honors go to Mike Toth with a 245!  Awesome job Juniors!

7th Week In the USA-10’s Division (Youth 5-13):  Of 20 bowlers present, 15 bowled over their average for the week and 6 bowled 50 or more pins over their average.  5 bowled games of at least 140.  Samantha Black had the most pins over average with +158 along with the high game of the week, a nice 213! Ryan Ferraro had a steady 409, +112 pins over his average+73.  Zach Rapoza had 83 pins over average in a game for whopping 191 and a nice 432 series.  Overall, a nice 118 average this week up from 104 last week and versus 95 average for the season (for those who bowled).  Well done Junior Bowlers!  Keep up the good work!!

We are proud to offer generous scholarship funds to promote excellence in athletics and the mastery of a competitive sport.  The great achievement that comes from dedicated practice and concentrated effort is possible for all.  Bowlers receive professional instruction during and after league in a 60-minute clinic and also in a 90-minute clinic on Wednesday’s at 4PM.  Bowlers who participate in all but 3 weeks also earn scholarship funds for grades in school, perfect attendance and pins-over-average in the final tournament of each season.  Thanks to our generous donors who provide over $10,000 in scholarship funds each year.   Please support our sponsors!
