BRIDGEPORT – Registration for Housatonic Community College’s three summer sessions is going on now.
The sessions offer flexibility and affordability. Session I, an eight-week session, runs June 2– July 24 while Sessions II and III, five-week sessions, run June 2 –July 3 and July 7 – August 7, respectively. Tuition for a three-credit course is $507, compared to some $2,000 at local private colleges.
HCC offers students five ways to register: dropping a completed registration form and a check or other payment information in the drop box in the HCC lobby; registering by mail, fax or online; or by registering in person at the Registrar’s office in B109, Lafayette Hall. The registration deadline for each session is the first day of class.

The summer sessions offer something for everyone. The three-session structure gives students the flexibility to study at their own pace, tailor their course load to their individual goals, and still have time for a vacation before the Fall semester starts.
Sessions II and III, the five-week sessions, are appropriate for people who want to accomplish as much as they can in a short period of time. Session I, the eight-week session, is tailor-made for working students who are trying to balance education with a full-time job and/or family responsibilities.

All three sessions are appropriate for HCC students enrolled in associate degree or certificate programs, as well as students at other colleges and universities who are looking for quality transfer credits at an affordable cost.
While HCC’s credits transfer easily, students of other colleges are encouraged to clear their summer course plans with their college registrar or academic advisor.

HCC is located at 900 Lafayette Blvd. in downtown Bridgeport, less than 150 yards off I-95 (Exit 27) and Rte. 8 (Exit 1), a block from the Webster Bank Arena at Harbor Yard. Free parking is available in the Housatonic garage.
