Animal Control: No Dogs on Fairfield Beaches until October

would like to remind residents that dogs are not allowed on any of the town’s five beaches or beach parking lots between April 1 and Oct. 1.

According to a press release from the department, Animal Control officers have patrolled the beaches for the past two weeks and found residents are still bringing dogs with them.

More than 20 warnings were issued to residents for violating the town ordinance. Those who violate the ordinance will have to pay a $90 fine, according to the release.
