Cornell Road Bridge Project Complete, Now Open to Traffic

The Cornell Road Bridge has reopened to all traffic, the Fairfield Police Department announced on its Facebook page Tuesday.

The bridge -- located near Fairfield Warde High School -- has been closed to thru traffic since October 2012, when construction to repair and upgrade the bridge began.

"Repairs have been completed," per the police department.

The project was originally slated to be finished by December 2012 or early January, but weather delayed work on the bridge in the fall and winter.
