FAIRFIELD TEENS ARE "FLOCKING" TO RASIE MONEY FOR BREAST CANCER

Three FLHSl Freshman Girls have been spending the last two weeks “Flocking” to raise awareness and money for the Norma F. Pfriem Breast Care Center, these funds will allow approximately 250 women with little or no insurance to receive a mammogram.

The Flamingo Flocking started with the girls choosing 4 neighbors to place a 25 Flamingo Flock on their front lawn. The neighbors made a donation to have the flock fly away to a destination of their choosing and this continued night after night for 13 nights. The girls have raised over $2,500 thus far.

The culmination of this two week event will take place at Centro tonight with the entire 100 flamingo flock roosting on the town green in front of Centro Restaurant. The girls will be there again to raise awareness and sell “Flamingo Pops” which they made and plan to sell for $2 each.
