FARM SANCTURARY DAY

For kids in grades K-5, Farm Sanctuary Day will feature an author discussion with  Maya Gotttfried, author of "Our Farm:  by the Animals of Farm Sanctuary," this year’s One Book One Town Children’s Companion selection and include crafts activities and author book signing.

In addition,  a healthy vegan lunch will be served by Sue Caldwell owner of “Health in a Hurry” for $8.75.

This event will also celebrate One Book One Town Month and is one of the many events centered around this year’s book, "Eating Animals" by Jonathan Safran Foer.

At 1 p.m. the Library will also host Gene Baur, author, president and co-founder of Farm Sanctuary. Baur will discuss his book, "Farm Sanctuary:  Changing Hearts and Minds About Animals and Food" and his work rescuing animals and raising awareness about the problems of factory farming.

Registration is required for each of these sessions.
