Fairfielder Launches Kickstarter to Publish Children's Book

With a little help, Ryan SanAngelo's story will become a book.

The Fairfield resident has launched a Kickstarter project to help him raise $1,000 to self-publish the children's book.

"Wake Up, Tommy! You're in a Book!" tells the story of a turtle who is surprised when he wakes up in a book.

"The book is more than just a story. It's also a conversation your child can engage in," SanAngelo writes. "Tommy will ask questions and your child can respond. It's a wonderful reading experience that ties in with an approach many reading teachers are executing these days — prompting their students to talk to the book characters. This helps develop connection, empathy, and allows the child to interject their own ideas into the life or problem the character is facing."
