Here are five things to know about Fairfield for Monday, May 20:
1. The weather. There's a chance of showers and thunderstorms all day Monday. Otherwise, it will be cloudy with a high near 73.
2. Your commute. Monday's commute on I-95 is expected to be messy following Friday's train collision, which knocked out the two working tracks on the Metro-North New Haven line between Bridgeport and Fairfield. Check out the Connecticut Department of Transportation's traffic cameras before you hit the road.
3. Redistricting. The RTM is slated to vote on redistricting plans for Fairfield at its 8 p.m. meeting in the Board of Education conference room (501 Kings Highway East, second floor).
4. Taste of the Towns. All Edge Fitness Clubs (including Fairfield) will showcase local bars, restaurants, and businesses from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday.
5. Free Blood Pressure Screening. Bridgeport Hospital will offer free screenings at the Fairfield Senior Center, 9:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
