Why Go: Those crazy kids and their butter beer are back for more hijinx in the latest installment of Harry Potter and the Evil He-Who-Shall-Not-Be-Named (Voldemort) Cauldron of Horcruxes, Doom and Awkward Teenage Relationships-- I mean, Deathly Hallows Part I, at the Community Theatre.

Pricing: $4

Borders:

When: February 25, 7 p.m.

Why Go: Fortunately, it appears the downtown Fairfield Borders will be spared the chopping block, otherwise we’d have to fight for a table and free Wi-Fi somewhere else. In any case, check out The Barlow Saints, a duo delivering a smooth blend of alternative, funk & folk music.

Pricing: Free

Pequot Library

When: Saturday, Feb. 19, 2-4:30 p.m.

Why Go: Music for Youth will be presenting Brasil Guitar duo. Listen to some great music and if you have your own little Django Reinhardt wannabe, there will be master classes afterward. (Call 203-938-3843 to register for master classes.)

Pricing: Free

Pequot Library

When: Saturday, Feb. 19, 7-8 p.m.

Why Go: Throw on a turtleneck and grab your beret, Daddio. All the cool cats will be turning out to hear Fairfield University’s MFA students Thomas Hahn and Katherine Schneider read from their selected works.

Pricing: Free

Fairfield Theater Company:

When: Sunday, Feb. 20, 3 p.m.

Why Go: I don’t know. There’s a picture of a guy with a hat, a clown nose and big teeth, and something about music made from antique walking sticks. It’s called "Discount Variety" and is described as “sophisticated musical variety appropriate for all ages.” That settles it then. Everybody in the car. We’re going.

Pricing: $17, members $12.
