Where/When: Food for Thought Expo, Fairfield Warde High School

Saturday, March 26, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Why Go: This free, educational event gathers together local farms, businesses, restaurants, bakers, health counselors, and others dedicated to local, sustainable and healthy eating. They will be offering food samples and advice to visitors. In addition to exhibitors, FFTE will have children's activities, gardening demonstrations, cooking demonstrations, and more.

Where/When: Earthplace, 10 Woodside Lane, Westport

Saturday, March 26, 2:30 p.m.

Why Go: Enjoy a family program with a live animal, story and craft. There is a different theme each time. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Ages 3 and above. Included with regular admission.

Pricing: $7 adults and children over 12, $5 children 1-12 years and seniors

 

Where/When: Stepping Stones Museum, 303 West Ave., Norwalk

Saturday, March 26, 2 p.m.

Why Go: Enjoy traditional Irish dancing presented by area dancers from Mulkerin School of Irish Dancing.

Pricing: Musuem admission is $12 each for adults and children.

 

Where/When: Westport Country Playhouse, 25 Powers Court, Westport

Sunday, March 27, 1 p.m. and 4 p.m.

Why Go: Westport Country Playhouse kicks off its family programs this week with “Click, Clack, Moo,” on Sunday, March 27, 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. The show for grades Pre-K through 4 is a hilariously “moooo-ving” musical based on the Caldecott Honor Book by Doreen Cronin and Betsy Lewin. Finding a laptop in their cold barn, shivering cows type requests for blankets to Farmer Brown – or they’ll go on strike!

Where/When: Stamford Museum and Nature Center, 39 Scofieldtown Road, Stamford

Sunday, March 27 at 1 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.

Why Go: The Stamford Museum and Nature Center is offering child-focused mini-concerts with musicians from the Stamford Symphony. Past programs including Boom & Toot, Peter & the Wolf, and The Sorcerer’s Apprentice.
