Library's 'Wonder' Wall Shows Examples of Kindness

The wall is part of Fairfield's One Book One Town activities.

Next time you need to get to the second floor of the Fairfield Public Library, take the stairs.

The library staff and its patrons have created a "Wonder Wall" as part of Fairfield's One Book One Town event. This year's choice -- "Wonder" by R.J. Palacio -- has jumpstarted a conversation about choosing kindness, the message of the book.

On the wall are reasons why and examples of how Fairfield residents have chosen kindness:

"Even small people have big hearts," Anya wrote.

"I helped a student with his homework," Nicholas, age 12, said.

Five-year-old Finn helped his mom with baby sister Jane.

Have you read "Wonder"? How have you chosen kindness?
