Lost Bernese Mountain Dog

Missing since Easter Sunday

A small Bernese Mountain dog has been missing since Easter Sunday in Fairfield.

Black, white and brown in color, the 7- to 8-year-old dog named Mercy from Maryland was visiting Fairfield with her family for the Easter holiday. She was last seen on Thursday on Burroughs Road in Fairfield and had come from the Wheeler Park area of Fairfield.

Fliers have been posted around Fairfield.

If Mercy is found, she will be confused as she is not from Connecticut and has no idea of her surroundings.

She is described as a friendly but shy dog, and those searching for Mercy ask people who find her not to chase her. Mercy is spayed but not microchipped. She is between 65 and 70 pounds.
