Santa Arrives Early to Light Milford Green Holiday Tree [Photos]

If you missed the event or just want to relive the magic, check out our pics.

More than 2,000 people gathered in downtown Milford Friday night to usher in the holiday season in style.

Horse-drawn carriage rides, carolers, hot chocolate and, the main event, Santa's arrival on a Milford fire truck just in time to light the holiday trees lining one of New England's longest town greens.

Really loved being a part of last night's event, and reliving it here via Mark's terrific photos. Great coverage for a great event, Patch! This will be an article I'll forward to my out-of-town and out-of-state friends and family to encourage them to visit Downtown Milford this Holiday Season.

Can you please correct the description of the tree -- there is no such thing as a holiday tree, it's a Christmas tree!
