Two Eggs-cellent Events in Fairfield, Southport on Saturday

Hunt for eggs and take part in the classic egg roll competition on Saturday, March 30.

Easter weekend wouldn't be complete without egg, dyeing and, of course, a big Easter egg hunt.

The Pequot Library will host its annual Easter Egg Roll on the Great Lawn (the event will be moved indoors in the event of inclement weather), from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday.

Bring your own hard-boiled eggs for dyeing, pick your favorite, and then enter it into the egg-rolling contest. Special guests include the Easter Bunny and Belle, the Pequot Library's rabbit.

The Connecticut Audubon Society in Fairfield will host two egg hunts on Saturday -- one from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., and the other from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. The morning egg hunt includes breakfast; healthy snacks, juice, and cookies will be served during the afternoon hunt.

While at the Audubon Society, visit live animals, make some spring-themed craft, and expect a visit from a special rabbit. The programs will take place rain or shine and guests must pre-register and pre-pay. Click here for more information.
