For 76 years and counting, members of Greenfield Hill Congregational Church and thousands across Fairfield County have celebrated the beauty of spring with the Dogwood Festival. The Festival is held over Mother’s Day weekend every year and offers free admission and a range of entertainment featuring local history and culture. According to Fairfield Magazine’s March/April 2011 issue, notable town figures included the Dogwood Festival in the “Fabulous 50 of Fairfield”.
Festival hours: Friday, May 6, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday, May 7, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, May 8, Noon to 5 p.m.
