Bonjour Happiness Author to Visit Fairfield Public Library

The Fairfield Public Library will be hosting an author talk with Jamie Cat Callan on Thursday, October 6.  Ms Callan will be discussing her latest book, Bonjour Happiness!  Secrets to Finding Your Joie de vivre at 7 p.m. in the Memorial Room of the Main Library, 1080 Old Post Road.

Are French women happier than Americans?  Jamie first experienced the French woman’s secret to happiness as a young girl from her beautiful and frugal French grandmother.  Ms Callan has interviewed hundreds of French woman and a few men to uncover their secret to joie de vivre.  She spoke to women about food, age and body issues, beauty, love and happiness.  She travelled throughout France interviewing women from all walks of live.  She came away with a template for how we can find a deeper, more satisfying sense of true happiness.

She is also the author of French Women Don’t Sleep Alone and the creator of The Writers Toolbox.  She has appeared in The New York Times, Modern Love column, and the Missouri Review Story.  Jamie is also an inspirational speaker, a total Francophile and an unabashed romantic.  Her Literary awards include the Massachusetts Council on the Arts Grant in Fiction, The Goldwyn Award in Screenwriting, The New York State Council on the Arts Grant and first prize in the Writers Digest Fiction Competion.
