Looking for something different to do one afternoon? Come to “Create” Day at the Branch on Thursday, August 9 from 2:30 to 4 pm. Work on spine label poetry (stack books to create a poem with the titles, then photograph the stack) book quote image posters, flash fiction pieces (300 words inspired by the “interesting” book covers on the Library’s Tumblr) and video reviews (record yourself, audio or video, critiquing a book, movie, song, TV show or game). The teen librarians will be there to help. For teens grades 6 and up. Attending this program also earns points toward the “Create” badge in the Library’s Teen Summer Challenge. If you can’t come by, you can work on these projects at home, and then upload to your Teen Summer Challenge profile. The Fairfield Woods Branch Library is located at 1147 Fairfield Woods Road.
All programs at the Fairfield Public Library are free of charge. Register for this program online and find out more about the Teen Summer Challenge at www.fairfieldpubliclibrary.org or for more information call 203-256-3160.
