I Survived the Titanic: A Listening Adventure at the Fairfield Public Library

Continuing One Book One Town celebration month, we are eager to learn about all things Titanic.  Award-winning children’s author Lauren Tarshis will take participants on a voyage as she describes how she researched her book, I Survived the Sinking of the Titanic, 1912.  The differences in how people lived then and now will also be discussed.  This program, for ages 8-13, will take place on Tuesday, March 20 from 4:15-5:15 pm at the Main Library, 1080 Old Post Road.

Lauren Tarshis is the author of the “I Survived the . . .”  series and Emma-Jean Lazarus Fell Out of a Tree and Emma-Jean Lazarus Fell in Love.   She and her family live in Connecticut.

This program is part of the Library’s 2012 One Book One Town celebration of The Watch That Ends the Night:  Voices from the Titanic.  Pick up a copy of our One Book One Town brochure at the Libraries, or click on the One Book One Town section on our website.  There are a variety of programs for adults, teens and children.
