Jon McLaughlin

This Oscar-nominated pop rock singer songwriter comes with a gracious humble Indiana vibe and the passionate voice and boyish good looks of a real star. Overcoming an early musical roadblock, shattering both wrists in an accident during high school, he soon took his career to the next level, playing his tunes across the country during college. He has acquired a strong grassroots following over the years, with rigorous touring and passionate songs and from hanging with Dave Barnes and Matt Wertz. His Oscar performance of the Enchanted song “So Close” in 2010 brought his popularity and status even higher. The upcoming OK Now marks the debut of his new relationship with Island Def Jam Records and his new highly sophisticated sound, with some early reviewers comparing him to Coldplay.

On his website he humbly writes of his upcoming tour, “Hey guys, it's Jon. I thought it would be fun to go on tour so I could see all of you... it's been far too long since our last visit. We're always saying we need to be better about staying in touch, right?” Come out and see his first

“Here I stood, never hearing of him and was instantly drawn in the moment the curtain opened. He is deeply connected with his hard core fans which really brings new comers into the fray. It's hard to not make the comparison to Billy Joel, which he covered Piano Man brilliantly during a short set of covers that also included Come Together and Beautiful Disaster. Comparisons to Ben Folds cant be missed either, yet he really goes beyond comparisons.” - Chicago Music Guide
