Living With Cancer Conference

The American Cancer Society is hosting a free program for cancer patients, survivors, family members, and caregivers.

Taking place at the C. Anthony and Jean Whittingham Family Building - this event will also include breakfast and lunch.

Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m. 

Medical keynote speaker Dr. Barbara Ward, a surgical oncologist specializing in the diagnosis and surgical treatment of breast cancer at Greenwich Hospital in addition to Gina Barreca, author of “It’s Not That I’m Bitter: How I Learned to Stop Worrying About Visible Panty Lines and Conquered the World,” will take part in the event.

In addition, the conference will feature Linda T. Gottlieb, MA, CPT, CCET, whose discussion in entitled “Exercise is Medicine, What Every Cancer Survivor Should Know”.

Also breakout sessions will be held throughout the day including yoga, reflexology, pain management, meditation, and nutrition.
