New Duke

Jazz musician and Fairfield University professor Brian Torff fronts a band of Fairfield University jazz faculty in a unique treatment of Duke Ellington's music played in a whole new light. The band performs Torff's arrangements of the jazz legend's music, spanning Ellington's Cotton Club period through the 1950s. The Jazz Professors consist of Brian Torff, bass, arranger; Jamie Finnegan, trumpet; Steve Moran, sax and clarinet; Rick Sadlon, sax, clarinet, and flute; John Fumasoli, trombone; Dave Childs,piano; Don Mulvaney, drums.
