Southport, CT (December, 2011) – From January 18 through February 28, 2012, Fairfield and Westport based artist Dave Pressler will be featured at Pequot Library’s Perkin Gallery in a unique exhibition titled “Diversity.”  A reception will be held at the Perkin Gallery on Saturday, January 28 from 4 - 6 p.m., at which time Mr. Pressler will engage guests in discussion and answer attendee’s questions. Additionally, he will give a digital projection presentation and discussion in the Pequot Library’s auditorium on Saturday, February 4, from 4 – 6 PM.

Artist, Photographer and Designer Dave Pressler has selected a broad variety of his work, in different categories, to demonstrate how the creative process of observation, imagination and exploration can yield multiple forms of expression, using various mediums to communicate specific subjects.

To create this exhibit, Mr. Pressler selected groups of works that are both diversified from each other and that can be viewed as themes of creative activity.

The Beginnings and Expansion of Life - The first section of “DIVERSITY,” suggests the beginnings and expansion of life across his collection of enlarged Micro-Paintings and photographic images, featuring evolved botanical forms.

Variety of Mediums - The next section of “DIVERSITY” displays Pressler’s use of and experimentation with a variety of mediums:  dry point and photo-transfer etching; digitally created images; photography; collage; and metallic substrate.  This selection also shows “diversity” in the variety of subjects within natural, cultural and imaginary environments.

Heartifacts© & Ticker© Series - The final section of “DIVERSITY” exhibits unique 3D images, neo-anaglyphs©, that are metaphors for the contemplation of heart health.

In this exhibition you will clearly experience “Diversity,” through a variety of subject matter, color use, form variation and media use.

Enjoy an eye-opening experience!
