Sacred Heart University's Music Faculty Recital Series Will Feature "Quartet for the End of Time"

The Sacred Heart University’s “Music Faculty Recital Series” will feature Olivier Messiaen’s 20th century masterpiece “Quartet for the End of Time.”  A spiritually and musically complex piece, the quartet was inspired by the Book of Revelation and was composed while Messiaen was held prisoner in a German POW camp during World War II.

Sacred Heart University Instructor Justin Stanley, DMA (clarinet) will be joined by Sarah Wetherbee (violin,) Nicholas Finch (cello,) and Michael Bunchman (piano.)  Justin Stanley earned a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Clarinet Performance at the University of Michigan, a Master of Music at Yale University and a Bachelor of Music from the Oberlin Conservatory of Music.
