Thank You to MOMS Club

The MOMS Club of Fairfield North has generously funded a stunning mural to be placed on a wall in the Fairfield Woods Branch Library children’s room.  A “Thank You” Celebration will take place at the Woods Branch Library, 1147 Fairfield Woods Road, on Saturday, June 16 at 10:00 a.m.

The MOMS Club of Fairfield North hosted a tag sale to raise funds to purchase the mural for the library.  The artwork will transform a part of our children’s space into a whimsical, magical place to read a book, play a game or hang out with a friend.  Artists Priscilla Igram and Christine Orlando, from Young Artists Studio, have captured the uniqueness of our space and have brought in nature and the woods with their thoughtful design.  “It is so rewarding to have such a supportive community partner dedicated to enhancing the library experience for children,” remarked Deputy Town Librarian Nancy Coriaty.

The MOMS Club (Moms Offering Moms Support) is an international non-profit for at-home mothers with young children.   Locally they have three chapters that serve Fairfield and Easton.  The Fairfield North chapter includes moms with children in Stratfield, North Stratfield and Easton school districts.  They offer a variety of activities for members and their children ranging from playgroups and park dates to Moms Night Out, book club and more.  Visit them at www.meetup,.com/moms-club-Fairfield-Easton-ct or email them at mcfairfieldnorth@ yahoo.com.
