Pequot Library Hosts 'Evening of Russian Masterpieces'

Famed Errante/Cho Trio to Perform Free Concert in Pequot Library's Auditorium From 7:30 P.M. to 9:30 P.M Saturday.

The Errante/Cho Trio will present "An Evening of Russian Masterpieces" at 7:30 p.m. Saturday (May 28) in the auditorium of Pequot Library, 720 Pequot Ave. in Fairfield's Southport neighborhood.

The trio, comprised of Richard Errante, violin; Lois Errante, cello; and Kyong Hee Cho, piano; is well-known to Connecticut audiences for its committed music-making and creative programming. Performing together since 2001, they command a wide-ranging repertoire, from traditional works to tangos.

In addition to a series of concerts under the auspices of the Wilton Arts Council, they have presented numerous benefit concerts supporting the Wilton Library, the Pequot Library, the Unitarian Church in Westport, and the victims of Katrina. The Errante/Cho Trio is generously sponsored by the Pequot Library in yearly performances.

Last year’s concert, Schumann Meets Brahams, celebrated the close of a wonderful season of programming at Pequot Library.

This year's concert, An Evening of Russian Masterpieces, will feature Tchaikovsky's Trio in A Minor and Shostakovich's Trio No. 2 in E Minor.

Admission is free.
