Are my favorite Flowers in Season Now!!

As we swing into mid Fall a question that comes up frequently is
what Flowers are in Season now or are my favorite Flowers in Season!

For the most part, Flowers used in a Flower shop on a Daily basis are available throughout the year. I would say roughly 60 to 70 percent are available year round, but the 30 to 40 percent that are Seasonal offer great opportunities to creat some very special Floral Designs. Our talented designers at Blossoms at Dailey's Flower Shop look forward to the different Seasonal offerings throughout the year.

As the Seasons change I will update each Season with a blog posting and 3 or 4 Different Flower varieties available for that Season, so now that Fall is in full swing let me tell you a few that are available now.

Let's start with Ornamental Kale and Cabbage (brassica) you have probably seen the plants in your local garden center or box store, the cut Brassica stem comes in 3 different colors, White , Lavender and a dark Purple. The kale has a more ruffled edge than the cabbage does. These stems are a perfect addition to any Fall or Thanksgiving Floral arrangements.

Next is the Snowball Viburnum , a beautiful Lime Green head the size of a small snowball, each stem or branch has multiple heads on it which makes for a awesome look in many different arrangements of cut Flower bouquets.

Also the Sunflower, although available throughout the year Sunflowers are just right for the Fall, from a bright Yellow we all have seen to the chocolate Brown or the ring of fire which is a Bronze Yellow mix, perfect for Thanksgiving Flowers. Last but not least let's not forget about the Tulips which are just coming into Season in Holland and Fall colors are arriving weekly.

I hope this helps and if there are any questions or comments about the varieties listed here or another variety that I have not touched upon please comment, email or call us at Blossoms at Dailey's Flower Shop and we will be happy to help anyway we can.

Please always remember to support your local Florist and other local business, supporting your local business's only strengthens our town, it allows us to hire more local people and to support other local business' s
