Best of Patch: Fairfield's Italian Restaurants

Vote below, rate your personal favorite, and help Patch crown a 'Best Italian Restaurant' in Fairfield to kick off our 'Best of Patch' series.

[Editor's Note: March 2, 9 a.m. - Voting is now closed. The winner will be revealed at 12 p.m. Friday.]

Tasked with identifying a food-and-drink-related category for our Patch users to rank, your local editors here in Fairfield County quickly came up with "Italian restaurants."

Who doesn't like pasta? Or eggplant parmesan? How about a nice bruschetta?

So today we're kicking off our in that popular category -- Italian restaurants -- one where each one of us has a strong opinion. (Quick note here, this is not "Best Pizza in Fairfield." There will be a more complete version of "Best Pizza" than what's later this year. Some restaurants overlap the "Best Italian" and future "Best Pizza" selections).

Here in Fairfield, there are plent of Italian restaurants to choose from, and we're asking you to weigh by:

  • Voting in our poll (scroll down to vote)
  • Rating and reviewing (scroll down to click on your favorite restaurant)
  • which restaurants are missing from the list and why they're the best

Restaurants also represent an area where we see new players come and go all the time -- hopefully more small business owners coming and succeeding than being forced to shut down. Fairfield Patch updates its "Patch Places" directory every day, so please let me know if you're a small business owner who doesn't see your business on Fairfield Patch, or if you want to (or even !)

Here are some of our favorite places, but if we're leaving one off of the list, please let us know in the comments and we'll add it:

Voting in the poll below is open until 9 a.m. Friday. Ties will be broken by whichever business has the most newly added reviews to its listing. We will announce the winner at 12 p.m. Friday.

So tell us what your favorite Italian restaurant in Fairfield is, and tell us why!

Forgive me, I guess I don't quite see how we are 1 million over budget? What financials are youRead More referring too? The third quarter statement of account? Was last year the year the BOE returned $ to the town? Absolutely agree with you about the middle school, we need more STEM offerings. Right now high schoolers are required to show they are proficient in Microsoft Office. Many take a semester long course to help prepare for the test (seems like that time could be better spent). Other students just take the proficiency test. Seems like this can be something that can be addressed earlier than high school. Why not offer the course to 8th graders, and let them show they are proficient in Microsoft Office before they even get to high school.

It seems apparent to me as I watch children getting picked up in the morning by school buses thatRead More there is some stream lining that could be done with the school bus budget. There are at least five separate buses that pick up children in front of my hose on Jennings road each morning 4 of which are all elementary. Can all these children in a two block radius go to different schools and if they do why. all the buses are almost empty when they pick up these children. Why then potentially are we paying all this money for buses when less can be used?

For flat, easy terrain, the beach area and old post road offer the best situations. On weekendsRead More you'll find plenty of bike riders in the area so you'll have some company and there is plenty of scenery. Also, there are a couple of multi-use off-road paths located at Ash Creek (near Fairfield Metro Station) and Pine Creek.
