After plenty of buzz across the city and Fairfield County over the past year, it's finally here: Dinosaur Bar-B-Que is opened its Harbor Point location to the public on Wednesday.
Those that fell in love with the brand's original location in Syracuse or with its sister location in Harlem know that if you're a lover of all things smoked, grilled and smothered in barbeque sauce, this just might be your new favorite hangout.
Occupying a refurbished factory that was once part of the old Yale Lock Company, Dinosaur Bar-B-Que celebrated its opening Tuesday night with a private premiere party where guests were treated to a buffet of pork ribs, beef brisket, pulled pork, mac & cheese, BBQ fried rice, macaroni salad, cornbread and cole slaw. A dessert of warm apple-cranberry cobbler with vanilla ice cream followed.
Now that it is open, the restaurant will serve over 24 local, regional and seasonal craft beers on tap, including Stamford’s own Half-Full Brewery, and dishes unique to the location, such as Dino Poutine with housemade pimento cheese and pulled pork; the Brisket Bleu sandwich with bleu cheese and caramelized and pickled onions; and a Pick-Your-Own Combo, featuring any two or three of Dino’s signature pit-smoked meats.
