Jobs figures for June show Fairfield with its highest unemployment rate all year.
Fairfield’s rate rose to 7.8 percent from 7.2 percent the month before, according to the Connecticut Department of Labor.
In total, 2,352 people from town's eligible labor force are unemployed, the figures show.
Statewide, the unemployment rate is 8.1 percent. Nationally, that number is 8.2 percent.
