Tree Festival Premiere Wine Tasting

This year's Fairfield Christmas Tree Festival includes a Designer Wine Tasting from 5-7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 4, at Burr Homestead. Come taste wines from around the world and support Bridgeport's Burroughs Community Center, the beneficiary of the 2010 Fairfield Christmas Tree Festival.

This premier festival event, "A Toast to the Community," will feature a meet-and-greet with the designers who decorated the rooms throughout the . Attendees will also receive holiday decorating tips and meet representatives of the home retail partners who provided the furnishings throughout mansion.  

The tasting will feature red and white wines from around the world provided by Harry's Wine and Liquor Market, located at 2094 Post Road.  Any wine ordered that night will be available to be picked up at Harry's Wine & Liquor Market in time for the busy holiday season.

Light appetizers and artisanal cheese platters will be provided by South Pine Creek Deli.

Tickets to this wine tasting are $40 per person.

This weekend's 29th annual Festival - Saturday and Sunday - will also feature its traditional holiday boutique, a sale of live wreaths, photos with Santa, a quilt raffle and live entertainment.  The theme of this year's festival is "Celebrating Community."
