Winning Wines for a Holiday Table

Supporters of education in Fairfield will enjoy holiday wines on Saturday, Nov. 5 when the Fairfield Foundation for Education hosts a wine tasting and silent auction at the Fairfield Museum and History Center, 370 Beach Road. “Winning Wines for the Holiday Table,” will include music by singer, songwriter Kristen Graves; wine tasting with Harry’s Wine and Liquor Mart of Fairfield; and light bites.

The event will raise money for the Fairfield Foundation for Education, which provides grants to help teachers enrich and enhance the curriculum in the Fairfield Public Schools. Among projects funded by the FFE are an ipad project for autistic students, a salmon breeding environmental project as part of the science curriculum, and  financial help with gardens planted at all of Fairfield’s public elementary, middle and high schools. The FFE is funded by private donations from citizens and other foundations.

The cost of the wine tasting and auction is $35 for a single ticket and $60 per couple. Tickets are available at the door, or by mailing a check to Fairfield Foundation for Education, PO Box 320561; Fairfield, CT 06825.
