Fair Trade Comes to Fairfield

Fairfield’s newest shop has opened in the in the The Brickwalk Promenade just in time for the holiday season.

5 Oceans Fair Trade, a unique specialty retail store featuring fair trade items from around the world opened in the The Brickwalk Promenade shopping center last week. Featuring a blend of handcrafted gifts, clothing, specialty chocolates and coffee, 5 Oceans Fair Trade hopes to bring third world artisan items to the Fairfield County community.

“We are thrilled to open our doors and provide Fairfield County a boutique retail store featuring items from impoverished communities where skilled craftsmen have created unique one of a kind items”, said Christine Schwartz, founder and owner of 5 Oceans Fair Trade.  “It makes me very happy to share these beautiful works of art, handcrafted items with my Fairfield County neighbors”, said Schwartz.

5 Oceans Fair Trade is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 10 a.m. - 5:30 p.m., Wednesdays from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from noon – 5 p.m. 

“Christmas and holiday gift items are overflowing the tables and shelves at 5 Oceans Fair Trade,” said Schwartz. “Stop in for your holiday shopping and bring a piece of the world to your home this holiday.”
