Are you ready to ride?
That’s the question the staff at ZenRide Spinning Studio, Fairfield’s first dedicated spinning studio, are asking residents.
ZenRide, located at 869 Post Road in the Fairfield Shopping Center, opened its doors in August after re-modeled a 2,000 square foot space with 30 bikes and spinning classes seven days a week.
ZenRide is an officially licensed Spinning Facility with NXT Spinner bikes and MadDogg trained instructors. The studio offers daily Spinning classes with various ride formats, geared to people of all ages and fitness levels, according to owner and instructor Jessica Gray.
“One of my goals for ZenRide is to make Spinning more accessible for all," said Gray. "To dispel myths about the Spinning program, such as already needing to be a certain level fitness in order to try it, having a militant instructor yelling at the class, or other ‘hard core’ misperceptions that have grown over the years."
Unlike most gyms, there is no membership required at ZenRide. Instead, the company has developed an on-line pay-per-ride system, ranging between $12 to $18 each, depending on the packages riders choose. The online system allows you to make reservations in advance and even select which individual bike you wish to ride on within a certain room.
The studio is up and running, but hopes to tailor its environment and class schedule to the audience it begins to attract, according to Gray.
“ZenRide is thrilled to offer the highest quality Spinning experience to the community of Fairfield,” she said. “We want to build a sense of community at ZenRide, invite people to suggest songs or theme rides or even scheduling and class ideas as we grow and build to accommodate your needs."
